  1. Nothing new here. Same thing happened with the iPod and Mac book. People always scoff at the price of the newest technological innovation. Apple will find a way to make payments affordable to the early majority and it will be game over.

  2. VR has always felt like a gimmick but even if this is as good as they claim I'm not sure I could convince myself to go back to Apple after I spent $3k on a MBP in 2012 only to have the battery explode inside and they would do nothing.

  3. Ha! After paying over $180 for AirPod pros only to experience utter garbage, I’ll just wait for this gimmick to undergo several years of improvement’s before I think about buying.

  4. Want all the functionality of the apple vr headset but don't like the price? Buy an ipad.
Want VR and AR? buy the meta Quest 3.
The tech behind apple's headset is cool, but the application is basically just an ipad strapped to your face. It's not going to be useful, you won't be able to wear it for a long time and it'll feel like you wasted your money, because you did if you bought this thing.

  5. $3500 will be a bare bones model. The nice demo models people are trying out are gonna be probably between $4000 and $4500.
