  1. GameStop will train their current employees aka me and teach us how to properly check. You would think if we would be trading in games we would also trade in the consoles so we could properly test.

  2. Checking for counterfeits is super easy but you need to know what you're looking for and that's where the difficulties are. Even different games on the same system have different ways to check, sometimes the difference is as small as the wrong font used on the logo on the PCB, and who in their right mind would think to zoom right in on a DS cart logo to look for the subtle markings that verify their authenticity? Honestly it just seems like GameStop is opening the doors for counterfeiters to make a lot of money.

  3. If you knew how easy it is to tell a fake copy from a real one you would realize you have no idea what you're talking about. What kind of training do you think it takes to spot a fake

  4. GameStop would have to start either hiring people who are able to tell between counterfeit games, or training their employees how to tell and check. Which I know they probably wonโ€™t do. These people would obviously have to be paid more too.
